Inner Strength enters a new era...

I approached AuthorHouse recently to enquire about their self-publishing deals. They replied with a whole heap of questions about the book to which I have now replied. Book is complete and I'm 40% of the way through a proof-read. Synopsis fully complete too. All I need is for them to confirm the cost of each of the features I will use of theirs and then to save up the money. Then it's all downhill from there. Hopefully I'm on a roll now with this book and will be able to get it out there very soon. And then move onto the next one, the private investigator Lee Prince...

So, what's next?

Now that the Inner Strength edit is nearing completion, I need to move on to the next project. For me, that is The Pembrokeshire Connection, my book about the gay detective Lee Prince.

But what after that - well, I have four more contemporary fiction stories and I'm thinking that one of them I should write as a film script and the other as a six part TV drama.

The BBC Writers Room accepts all kinds of scripts from everyone, so it's worth a shot, no?

Inner Strength Rewrite

Got some excellant feedback from a publisher today, giving me advice on my third book Inner Strength. They suggest rewriting it in a particular way and then to re-submit it to them. Not a guarantee to publish it, but quite a good offer. Will start the re-write tomorrow!

The Pembrokeshire Connection

This is the working title of my fourth book which I started writing today. I've been planning it for months and today I took the plunge and started writing it - and at 5,500 words on the first day, I'd say that's a flying start!

Book Three Becomes A Step Closer

Quite an exciting day today as the proof copy of my third book arrived! The idea is that I can read it and check it for errors away from the computer screen and while it is in the format of an actual book.

Once I've finished proof-reading and editing it, I will start the long process of finding a publisher and hopefully also an agent.

The story, Inner Strength, revolves around Charlie Stone and follows him as he meets some new gay friends and is invited to sleep with a member of the same sex. It is an emotional story as he goes through this life-change and ultimately meets Liam with whom he starts a relationship.

It is a heart warming story, peppered with humour and at a pace that keeps the pages turning!

Watch this space for news on a publisher!!
